Please be aware that Environment Canada has predicted a once in a decade storm for parts of Manitoba and southeastern Saskatchewan starting the night of Tuesday April 12th into Friday April 15 They have indicated we could see anywhere from 30 to 50 centimetres of snow along with winds gusting from 70 to 90 kilometres per hour giving zero visibility at times.
They have advised not to plan to travel and to stock up on needed supplies and medications now as power outages are likely, particularly in rural areas.
If the storm rolls out as predicted SECPSD may be in a position where busses will be unable to run and schools may have to be closed for the safety of staff and students.
We would like to advise you to monitor the SECPSD website at https://bit.ly/3JvUYFa , the school division social media, and your local school communications prior to the start of the school day Wednesday, April 13th for further updates to this situation.
Please remain safe during this possible weather event.
