In recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Macoun staff chose to listen to suggested podcasts and discuss how Residential Schools continue to have lasting effects on Indigenous peoples. Staff reiterated the importance of educating students about the Calls to Action and utilizing them within our classes.
Staff also took some time to begin work on our school spotlight board which showcases Indigenous Education in our school. The current focus is on Orange Shirt Day activities and STEAM class activities.
